Boris Frederic Cecil Tay-Natey Ofuatey-Kodjoe was born on March 8, 1973, to an Austrian mother and a father from Ghana. His parents divorced when he was six years old. He is an internationally recognized actor and model.
He attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) on a tennis scholarship. He graduated with a degree in marketing in 1996. He is married to actress Nicole Ari Parker (2005 - present). They have two children, one daughter and a son.
He starred in the recent NBC television series, "Undercovers," which aired from September through November, 2010. His film credits include: "Love & Basketball" (2000), "Brown Sugar" (2002), "Doing Hard Time" (2004), "The Gospel" (2005), "Madea's Family Reunion" (2006), "All About Us" (2007), "Starship Troopers 3: Mauraders" (2008), "Surrogates" (2009) and "The Confidant" (2010). "Take The Stand," his latest film, is due to be released in 2011.
He and his family currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia, moving there from Los Angeles, California, several years ago.
