The World Through My Eyes

The World Through My Eyes: A collection of essays, reflections and thoughts about men, sex, love, relationships, politics, friendships, nudism, current events, social concerns, humanitarian issues, religion and all those wonderful experiences that constitute life as seen and felt by me: a thirty-something Deaf Gay man of mixed racial heritage (half-black, half-white) living in the Virginia Beach area of the United States. A scrapbook of my life. I've been a confirmed Gay nudist for the past 20 years (since puberty). Sometimes, we just need to step back and chill and try not to be so serious and tense. Mixed Race Celebrity Mondays: Eddie Diaz

Eddie Diaz is well-known to millions for his versatile roles in a number of gay porn films that have delighted many and caused many a man to swoon. At 5 feet, 7 inches tall (170 cm) and weighing in at 169 pounds (77kg), he's made men the world over dream of a chance encounter with him. Eddie was born in Cuba of mixed African/Native American heritage and his handsome features offer us eye-candy as to the best of both cultures. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California, and he has lived in the USA for thirteen years.

Diaz is universally recognized by his anal piercing and for his signature pistol tattoo that directs attention to his prodigious manhood. That cock, indeed, has proved itself to be a "smoking gun." The tat and that dick are pictured below. He was active in the gay adult industry from the years 2006-2010.

Eddie is an Aries and under the sign of the ram has been known to do that to quite a number of willing recipients. He is also just as adept at taking some fairly large dicks himself, willing and with skill. He identifies his sexuality as exclusively gay.

Diaz sports more than one tattoo but is best known for his gun. He also works as a model and personal trainer. In his spare time, he plays rugby to help maintain his impressive body tone. Eddie is online at: http://www.myspace.com/3854534 .

October 19, 2012: Spirit Day

Friday, October 19, 2012, is Spirit Day. This is the day to wear purple, either as part of clothing outfit or as an awareness ribbon, to show support against LGBT teen bullying and suicide. This public campaign was started as a grassroots movement by a teen, Brittany McMillian, in 2010. She was concerned over the increase in the number of suicides among her peers as a result of bullying because of their sexual orientation. This observance is sponsored by GLAAD.

Demonstrate your opposition to these tragedies by wearing purple on Friday, October 19. For more information,  click here to go to GLAAD's website: http://www.glaad.org .

Vintage Pictures

Gay History Month wouldn't be complete without sharing a couple of photographs showing inter-racial couples from our past. These are rare as the birth of the gay rights movement followed shortly after the Black Civil Rights movement. Before that time, segregation was the law in much of the country and widely practiced throughout the United States. Most of the time, the races simply didn't mix socially, much less sexually. But, we all know that it did happen.

The couple in the above picture are actually touching one another, their arms embracing each other, which was hardly done in public. It was probably photographed in the late 1950's.

The couple pictured above are very proud of their pumped bodies and their nudity. Again, they're actually touching, being physical, with one another. This one is probably from the early 1960's.

From Our Past...

In honor of LGBT History Month, here are some magazine covers from our community's past that celebrate and feature inter-racial love. The one above promotes mutual masturbation and probably group jerk-offs. There is no date listed on the cover and I don't have any more information about the publication. The haircuts suggest maybe the middle 1960's.

The cover above is from "Call Boy" and also promotes biracial love. There is no date on this cover, either, but the clothing and hair suggest late 1960's or early 1970's. The cover admits to featuring "homosexual lifestyle" so more than likely it was soon after the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Soon into the 1970's, the term "gay" was being frequently used to identify our community.

M.A.N. (for Male Athletic Nudist) is the title of this magazine shown above. Because this publication openly targeted male nudists, it was understood to mean gay men. This magazine was published between 1967 and 1970. This magazine contained pictures exclusively of white men.

Gay History Month

Yes! That's right! This month is our time to celebrate our history and our community! October is our own month to look around us and honor the past, the present and prepare for the future. Equality Forum maintains the website that gives us an insight into the way we were back in the day and where we are right now. Click here to go there: http://www.lgbthistorymonth.com .

The LGBT History month site offers a different biography every day during the month of October, each one honoring a different worthy person from our gay community. While there, you can also read about who's been selected in previous years, from 2005 until the present. They offer free resources that can be downloaded and used to share with family, friends or in the classroom.

If you've never visited the LGBT History site before, plan to set aside some time and do it this month. I know you'll discover some interesting facts from our past and enjoy learning about how our community is remembering our own.
