Today, October 21, 2013, The State of New Jersey officially becomes the 14th state of the USA to offer marriage equality. This recognition follows a decision of the New Jersey Supreme Court last week that mandated the jurisdiction to allow same gender couples the right to legally wed. In addition to the fourteen states, the District of Columbia (Washington, DC), also permits gays and lesbians to marry.
Slowly, but surely, our LGBT community is gaining in the full freedoms enjoyed by all other Americans! This is indeed a date to celebrate our journey to liberty in the "land of liberty!"
