The World Through My Eyes: A collection of essays, reflections and thoughts about men, sex, love, relationships, politics, friendships, nudism, current events, social concerns, humanitarian issues, religion and all those wonderful experiences that constitute life as seen and felt by me: a thirty-something Deaf Gay man of mixed racial heritage (half-black, half-white) living in the Virginia Beach area of the United States. Happy Kwanzaa


Kwanzaa is the seven-day celebration of family, community and culture that is observed December 26 through January 1. It honors both the African-American and Pan-African heritage of all peoples of African descent. The Seven Priciples of Kwanzaa encourage our people in faith, independence, pride and self-sufficiency. The Seven Priciples and their meaning are:

Umoja: Unity

Kujichagulia: Self-determination

Ujima: Collective work and responsibility

Ujamaa: Cooperative economics

Nia: Purpose

Kuumba: Creativity

Imani: Faith
