The World Through My Eyes

The World Through My Eyes: A collection of essays, reflections and thoughts about men, sex, love, relationships, politics, friendships, nudism, current events, social concerns, humanitarian issues, religion and all those wonderful experiences that constitute life as seen and felt by me: a thirty-something Deaf Gay man of mixed racial heritage (half-black, half-white) living in the Virginia Beach area of the United States. A scrapbook of my life. I've been a confirmed Gay nudist for the past 20 years (since puberty). Sometimes, we just need to step back and chill and try not to be so serious and tense. Life is short, stand up and get into it! nekkidfurryboi@gmail.com.

Fresh Year! Fresh Month! Fresh Faces!

January, 2012: it's a new year, beginning now with a new month. A time to recall the old and at the same time to eagerly look forward to all that's bright and new. When we think about the year behind us, we can't help but to also think about what the future may bring us. A new acquaitance? A new friend? A new lover? A new boyfriend? A new partner?

Now, it's true that most of us are comfortable with the status quo. We like the routine and and what we're familiar with. It's well known and comes with few surprises. After all, it's already a part of us. It takes little adjustment on our part.

But a new face? That's something exciting. A welcome change to the everyday and ordinary. The potential is endless and it offers us a distraction and an adventure. Will he be the one that maybe changes my life? Is he the one to rock my world and turn it upside down?  A spark of danger and uncertainty to spice up our day/night/weekend/year?   A breath of fresh air that recharges and energizes us in a way that we haven't felt in a long time?

It doesn't really matter too much the reason why to most of us. We like a new person in our lives. It gives us a challenge in building our friendship or relationship. It expands our social circle. It gives us a new someone to share laughter, tears, good and bad times.  Besides, sometimes it just makes us feel good about ourselves and our lives. Happy New Year! Happy New Face!
